Jeff Addicott enrolled at the Alberta College of Art in 1988, planning on studying photography. After taking a glassblowing course as an elective, he decided to make it his major.

Jeff studied with noted Canadian artists Norman Faulkner, Marty Kauffman, Jim Norton and Mark Gibeau. Jeff graduated with distinction in 1992 and was one of the recipients of the Tyman Brosz Memorial Glass Scholarship.

In 1994 Jeff put away his blowpipes to pursue a career in music. After studying at the Mount Royal College Conservatory, he moved to Southern Oregon and became one of the busiest freelance musicians in the region.

On Halloween 2003, Jeff resumed glass activity. He started assisting artist Terry Sullivan, then occasionally worked at Gathering Glass Studio, helping co-owners Scott Carlson, Steve Cornett and Keith Gabor.
