Gaylord Barrington Born and raised on the Southern California Coast, Gaylord opened his first photography studio in 1963, specializing in portraiture, commercial photography and weddings. During much of that time he also worked for the Long Beach Fire Department.  Upon retiring, he rediscovered his true passion for bring color and depth to some of his favorite black and white images. Michael Kent Murphy

Michael's medium is oil painting, his favorite subject depicts our local buildings and landscapes with an Impressionist energy and an eye for seasonal moods and color. Most of his smaller images are painted on site to capture the natural energy of the scene. For over 30 years, he hasbeen at home with the Sierras light and seasons.

Mike will first sketch and under paint his subject directly to the canvas on location. He then works on the sky in the studio, creating the desired could effects. Usually, he will return to the site the next day at the same time to capture the colors and quality of light. Finally, he will add any needed highlights and details in his studio.
