Artist Ann Rivero
First and foremost, Ann is a wordsmith. She has been writing poetry since she learned to write. Several of her poems, including her “Old Town Auburn,” have been published in local publications. Another poem, revealing the heart of a Soroptimist, has become a standard in this service organization. To her, poetry is a natural way of expressing herself and her feelings about people and events in her life. Ann is also the author of two unpublished, fictional novels. (it's one thing to write a novel, and another to get it published.) Her first novel depicts the courage of early pioneer women, and the second reveals the struggles of people in the 1920’s rural south. Photography is a great way to capture and complete her word expressions with images. She combines these words and images, framing them to make a perfect gift for special occasions. Weddings, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, as well as words about sisters, bothers, grandchildren…her poetry goes on and on. She can also create the right combination for your needs. You are welcome to use your own photographs for personalization. Email us or call the gallery and let her help you personalize your project. The newest endeavor is Ann's long time dream coming to fruition by expressing her world through watercolor images. Ann says, “Watercolor is a natural way of expressing feelings and the joy of color by combining captured camera images with emotional expressions of the heart; and bringing them to life with the use of brush, pigment and water on paper.” You will be able to look at these images and if any tug at your heart strings, they are available for purchase either through the website or by visiting Art Accents Gallery. Some of the originals are available, and prints are available in various sizes. These images are double matted and framed in your choice of a light or dark wood.
